Child Safety Programs

Proud Recipients

GFES is proud to be recognized as a Level III“GOLD” with Safety Plus Endorsement from the Montana EMSC & DPHHS.

GFES has several Pediatric champions that have received specialized training in the care and safety of pediatric patients. They help maintain training standards at GFES for our pediatric patients.

GFES leads the way by requiring all of its Paramedics to be trained and current with American Heart Association’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course. Something that is not required for State Licensure.

Pediatric CPR and First Aid Classes

GFES offers the AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course that is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

The course covers child/infant CPR, child/infant AED, child/infant choking, and pediatric first aid. Adult modules in CPR, AED and choking are optional.
